1. The operator should check the aeration condition regularly. If the aeration system increases in head resistance or the shape of the bubble changes, the aerator needs to clean the carbonate, iron salt, aluminum salt and biological sludge. When the sediment is formed, the fouling on the rubber membrane of the aerator will result in a decrease in the amount of gas output, a decrease in the oxygen utilization law of the aeration system, and an increase in the head loss.

2. Regular drainage cleaning depends on the treated water nature and the treatment process is an ideal maintenance method.

3. During the drainage cleaning and maintenance, be careful not to let the sediment on the surface of the rubber membrane dry and agglomerate, and clean it immediately. Dry agglomeration of the sinking material will make cleaning difficult and affect the performance of the aerator.

4. The biological sludge can be removed by physical means, using a brush to clean the surface of the rubber membrane or flushing with a high pressure water gun. When cleaning with a high pressure water gun, be careful to keep the nozzle of the water gun and the surface of the rubber film at a distance of about 500 mm to prevent damage to the rubber film.

5. Scales such as carbonate should be removed by chemical method. A certain amount of formic acid enters the aeration system with air. The proportion of formic acid added depends on the degree of scale. It is not necessary to empty the water in the aeration tank during cleaning. Generally, it is cleaned once or twice a year.
